Andrea Ferber had a career in marketing before she devoted herself to photography. At the time of her Bachelor's studies in Photography at the Munich University of Applied Sciences she got the chance to spend time as an intern at Magnum Photo's New York City offices where she got to know the photographer Paul Fusco. He became her mentor as  well as a good friend. He inspired, challenged and encouraged her to further develop an eye to see the extraordinary from the lives of ordinary people.

Andrea received the Rector`s Scholarship for her MA studies in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at LCC and is now based in Munich.
